What the Hot Wheels Race Off multiplayer service stores and why.
Player profile
The service creates a random installation ID and player ID. If you register, it also stores your username, email, securely derived password verifier, sign-in sessions, race rating and record.
Friends, gangs and chat
Friend requests, friend lists, gang membership and recent global, gang, and room chat are stored to provide community features. Chat history is limited and automatically expires where practical.
Races and spectating
Race rooms temporarily store their code, track, racers, vehicle setup, connection state, bounded movement snapshots, timing, result, viewers, and recent room chat. Spectating is limited to authenticated friends and gang members.
Security and operations
Standard request metadata such as IP address and user agent may be processed for abuse prevention, rate limiting, service operation, and administrator sign-in protection.
